Electronic Shelf Labels (ESL’s)

Remotely change prices and promotions in seconds

Allowing retailers to ensure store compliance and at the same time free up store staff

OnePointRetail® understands ESL’s and have been demonstrating how easily our solutions connect to SoluM, Displaydata, Pricer, SES and all major ESL hardware for many years.

ESL’s have the potential to increase revenue and profitability in specific areas of stores. Examples include time of day offers where the offers change as different types of shoppers visit the store or dynamic pricing on certain products such as fresh fruit based on stock levels or weather conditions.

Big data and other analytic implementations are high on the retail agenda and electronic shelf labels provide an effective mechanism for enabling retailers to action this insight at the shelf edge to make real-time retail a reality.

Combining Paper and Digital Content

We can help retailers ensure both paper and digital content are in sync

Soon most stores will have a blend of printed and digital shelf edge labels at the shelf edge and it’s vital for both forms of customer communication to work together from the outset.  We can help Retailers achieve this because our solution outputs information not just to printers but also to electronic shelf labels and other digital devices.

Utilising our solution in conjunction with ESL’s ensures that printed point of sale and electronic shelf labels are in sync and compliance is not put at risk.

John Lewis and ESL’s

John Lewis has a reputation for outstanding quality and innovation and is at the forefront of delivering a first class omnichannel strategy. As part of this strategy, John Lewis chose to trial our NetTickIT® software with DisplayData’s ESL technology to automate frequently changing price and product information in-store, enabling Partners to deliver the high quality customer service on which John Lewis’ reputation has been built. This delivered compliance between the point of sale and the shelf edge. Our NetTickIT® software added functionality including data analysis, calculations, formatting and previewing of the output.

The trial covered 300 SKUs in the consumer electronics department of the John Lewis Exeter branch, including free-standing, table-top and perimeter prong merchandise for four months.
